It’s great that these forums exist and they have active participation,

Get some Prozac dude. You are not obligated to help anyone who asks any question no matter how many times its been asked so get over it. No one makes you read someones questions either. I just wish I could get back the 3 minutes of my life spent reading your rant.

Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to RC Heli's. I have a Raptor 50 with DX7 and must say that even though I am an experienced engineer I have found getting into this new hobby very daunting at times.
I have found this forum extremely helpful with a huge amount of information contributed by it's members. I generally search first and have found that an answer to a question can be more meaningful in one post than the answer to the same question in another.
From what I have seen so far, nothing has been too much trouble in helping out a newbie, even though the question has been asked before, Until now.
vandelescrow, it seems obvious from your post that you are experienced in this field, however, you wasn't born like it. You started somewhere and I am sure at some point you have asked questions which the person you are asking has been asked lots of times before. We all have to start somewhere.
On a forum like this, with so much information, a search doesn't always come up with the answer, or it's not recognised by a newbie.
What you need to do is back off and just ignore the posts you don't like leaving participation in the forum with the posts you do like. That way we won't wind you up when we ask a dumb ass question.
I don't park where I'm not supposed to, I don't use a mobile phone while driving and I don't recklessly speed. However I am a newbie and still have lots of questions but I'm suddenly reluctant to ask them just in case it's been answered before.
Hey, and this is my first post on here :badair:
Although I understand your frustration and every day I have to put up with ignorance and lack of civil decency, I don’t think this is the place to relieve your tension.
I do understand and agree that some people dont take the time to research, find and understand before asking.
This is why maybe ther should be a section of general info besides the forum, so people intersted in new subjects for them, they can read, and then ask specific questions.
As -dvdlock- so eloquently wrote it, we all had to learn at some point. In my case, and I bet this has been for many others, I had a sensei that tought me the basics. He told me there was one condition.....once I learned, I had to do the same with others. And I do it with pleasure, even if its dumb and basic.
That is why we help each other and that is why this hobby is what it is.....regardless of the negativity, stupidity and hostility we live with every day.
I also experienced many cultures, from 1st ( even more than USA....yes, that is possible) to the crappiest places, and what i learned is that education starts with the example.
by the way ......did you have a heli related question, or was it just a random anger display?
Keep it fun and positive, dont let it get to you.
is this the fun, learning, friendship, or mutual respect part?
HA! you nailed it!
