Hi
I`m using a futaba GV1 gov en my raptor 90 and I set it on a 3 position switch to "off /1800 /1950" , but after flying, the max rev on the Gov display is 1740rpms, and it does feel a bit slow.

-My gear ratio is 8.27 ( it is set on the gov)
-Throttle curve is 0 to 100 ( linear in iddle up 2)
-The servo throw ensures 100% carb opening
-The "iddle/max/stop" limits on the gov is set

If I use the throttle curve with the Gov off I can get the engine to rev up to 1900 but the Gov just doesn`t do it
Any thoughts?

Have you tried resetting yor high low and off stick positions?

yep, that was one of the fisrt things that came to mind.
Done that, no results.

I do notice an rpm diference between switch positions , but because I fly alone I cant mesure rpms in flight.
I dont have an expert`s eye , but I`m sure i`m not getting to 1950 ( around 1800 seems like the revs of my trex 450, which I have measured)

You can't go by ear, you need a tach to see whats going on.

Too much pitch, or too rich on the carb would be the first things I'd check for.

The max RPM number is probably correct. If I remember correctly, it only stores the RPM at full stick (not the highest RPM). It's probably 1950 hovering, but stored 1740 with full pitch.
