Hiya,

I have an Evo 50 with Heliproz carbon 600's and evo 90 tailblades.

When I settle into a hover from ff and theres a breeze the heli kind of bobs or rocks front to back a few times then settles in. The stiffer the breeze the more it rocks. Everything else is fine other than a little tail drift.

Any clues as to what this might be?

What dampeners and head speed are you running?

Infinivation Dampners at around 1650 headspeed.

You can take my advice or not (your choice), but your head speed is too low and the dampening too stiff. Try 1850 RPM and the stock dampeners. Dollars to doughnuts the wobble goes away.

The tradeoff for the crispness of very firm dampeners is wobbling. This is made worse by a low head speed. 1650 is very low for an EVO 50. I can make mine wobble by slowing the blades too much in an auto with modified red Raptor dampeners.

If you want to keep the stiff dampeners, raise your throttle curve. It will help a lot, but you'll never be able to get completely rid of the wobble unless you go back to a softer dampener. And it's not a "problem" unique to the EVO 50. It's true for any helicopter.

What you say makes alot of sense. The wobble appears at the bottom of the stick where headspeed would be lowest, then disappears as I throttle back up. I'll raise the curve a bit and report back.

I promise that you'll see an improvement.

The infinnivation dampners are fine. They arent that tough. Atleast not as tough as the cx dampners. Just kick your headspeed up like Rob said and you will be good. Put it around 1850-1900.

I bumped up the throttle curve a point and all is right with the world. There was a slight breeze and I took it up without adjustment and got it to bobble a little. Set down, bumped up the curve and took it up and TRIED to make it do it and all I could get was the slightest nod.

Thanks a bunch Rob.

You're welcome. Glad I was able to help you get it sorted out! :glasses2:
