I've had a look at both packs dimensions, specs, and weights and they look the same to me.

I guess I am not seeing how they are the same:
OUTRAGE OXP30-22003: MAX Discharge Rate: 60C, 23x38x114 mm, Weight: 183g
DESIRE DP2200XP30-3S: MAX Discharge Rate: 55C, 25x34x113 mm, Weight: 171g

OUTRAGE OXP30-25006: MAX Discharge Rate: 60C, 31x46x134 mm, Weight: 388g
DESIRE DP2500XP30-6S: MAX Discharge Rate: 55C, 35x45x134 mm, Weight: 377g

OUTRAGE OXP30-22004: MAX Discharge Rate: 60C, 33x36x114 mm, Weight: 243g
DESIRE DP2200XP30-4S: MAX Discharge Rate: 55C, 34x34x113 mm, Weight: 227g

Outrage also offers packs that Desire does not like the OXP25-37008.
One of the US distributors for DESIRE is Classic Flying Machines, you can contact them to order packs. Desire Power also offers 33C packs as well.

Perhaps your right, perhaps not, they wont confirm either way, voltage wise they are very close.

That's also what i want to know, the outrage has been out for a while, but still couldn't see any user telling how he feels about the pack after(near) 100 cycles. Anyone please?

Bump for heliboy88.

Also wondering if anyone has tried both the 3s 25c and 30c packs and how they compare?

Has anyone tried to fit one of their 6S 5000mAh packs in the Logo 500/600 frame? The width of 45mm looks fine, but the height of 57mm looks to be a bit tight.

I hope they put out some 10S ~5000mAh packs that fit. My Logos are calling...

Yes the outrage 5000 will fit the Logo 500 and I am using them. However the pack is very close to the bottom of the pinion so make sure it is strapped down and cant lift and hit the pinion... Also for easier removal, I dremeled the front opening and made it a tad larger. This was so I could lift the pack off the velcro pad on the bottom of the frame.

FWIW I tried a 3s1c 2200 pac after reading this thread. This is absolutely the best battery I've ever used. I've never had a battery come down as cool after a hard flight as the OutRage. The is comparing it to the TP V2 and the EVO 25c. I've used it in my T-rex and also a PA Extra 260. Also getting longer flight times. Only thing left now is to see what the longevity is going to be.

FYI Kevin and I have been testing the NEW Outrage 3000 25C packs on the Trex500.... WOA.... Great pack for this heli. I can get 7 minutes and Kevin with his crankin Scorpion 1400 KV motor gets a little over 6 minutes.

So for the Trex500 guys, this is yet another option for a pack and in fact my favorite pack right now!

Is it a direct fit or do you need to mod the canopy/battery tray?

Nope no mods! Direct fit. I am running 100% stock and no problem at all. You will be suprised how small this pack is! It is only a little thicker than a 2500 pack!

Yep, it looks like a 6S 5000 pack is in order for my Logo 500. They even have the same policy as FP in regards to crash (up to 6 months @ 50%) and failure (up to 3 months @ 100%) replacement.

Wow, great news ! I was hesitating for days between the Outrage XP 6S packs (specifically the 30C 2500mAh, and 25C 3000mAh and 3300mAh) but I read here and there the battery tray mod was needed in order for the 3000mAh to fit...
When reading dimensions of the 3300mAh, they state it isn't that bigger than the 3000mAh at all, only 45g heavier, but I guess these are the 45g too much ?
How is the balance with the 3000mAh, btw ?
Anyways, once again without knowing, you saved my life, Bob  As soon as I read the above comment, I could press the ORDER NOW button without regret ;)

well one thing i know right now is that i need a new pack. my evo25 for my trex450 is going, deciding between another fp evo25, kongs, or outrage (seeing how they got such good review) any1 ever tried all 3 of them and can comment on it? and also would i benifit from a 30c over a 25c? i'm running the XL motor right now but MIGHT get a scorpion (probably -6 as i want the most power i can get lol).

Got my first two 6S 5000mAh Outrage XP packs today. They're almost exactly the same size as the FP EVO25s of the same ratings. Side by side, it would be tough to tell them apart (aside from the RED heatshrink ;) All put together, they come out just a tiny bit lighter than the FPs, both fully-outfitted with connectors and Velcro:

FP: 751g to 763g
OXP: 740g

Pretty negligible, but should be a perfect fit for the Logo 500 with no mods whatsoever...

John, will the 6S 5000mAh pack fit under the counterbearing?

Thanks,

John, will the 6S 5000mAh pack fit under the counterbearing

Since I don't have a counter-bearing, I don't honestly know. The clearance from the pack to the bare pinion is about 8mm, for either the FP or OXP pack.

Of course, my Logo 500 plowed in this morning, so testing is suspended for now. I did get a cycle on each of the OXP packs, burning just over 50% of the mAh, and they came down around 105 degrees F.

I saw your post in the Mikado forum... I'm sorry for your loss... Glad to hear you a have another kit on the way though.

What about your L600? Don't you run a CB in it?

Thanks,

Nope. I was told that neither motor needed it, and I've had no issues with the Neu or Tango in that regard.

can't say enough about these packs ....most powerful packs we've tried....we've been flying them all summer without any failures or pufflyness or without any performance changes .....personally these packs give me much higher head speeds and more tork than my other lipos , I've had to setup a different flight modes on my models just because of the increased performance.....Awesome lower prices, awesome power ...take my opinion with a grain of salt since I'm a vendor ...but these just roc....great review bob..

Desire Power doesn't have one either.

Anyone flies the OUTRAGE XP more than 100cycles?

I've got two 3S 25C 2200 packs that have done 120 cycles each in 10 weeks. These packs are awsome, no perceivable power drop as yet and I've flown them hard from their first cycles. I don't have any hard data but as far as my personal anecdotal evidence goes, Outrage packs have out performed my TP's and AT's over a similar cycle life. Although these brands took much longer to rack up the same amount of cycles.

Liked them so much I just bought 4 more.
