Looks like a heli that is ready to fly.

the only thing I worry about is the gyro on the bottom, it seems like an expensive part to have in the crash zone so to speak.

That worries me too. What happens if you have to auto? It just doesn't seem like an appropriate place to put an expensive and fragile piece of equipment.

Other than that, it looks good.

I third that motion !! Unless your a very good pilot, your asking for a damaged gyro. Even if you're (thanks Smewr) an awesome pilot your still asking for trouble with it mounted there.

Agreed a bad location for gyro. the gyro was firstly put inside the frame but i moved it out to the bottom to fit the larger lipo (1800mah)...
and also changed to carbon fibre legs which are much harder than stock ones, so landing a bit less risky...

I recomend the Trex 450 battery tray mod. It will allow safer gyro placement and still let you use the larger battery.

yeah, got the 450 tray already but need to drill holes in the frame (?), so not yet put in ... and note someone said trex 500 tray may even better fit...

The T-Rex 500 fits well, if you have a small battery, otherwise it's a really tight fit.

Probably true but, for me the 450 tray in silver CF and Alum. look's better

so u dont have the trouble where to put gyro & receiver ...
indeed using 1800mah does not give me very long flying time... 7.5 mins with 3.8v left...
but using 850mah at 4 mins with 3.9v left... i will try to fly 5.5 mins to see how much left tonight... all 2cells

why plastics get longer flying time ? i was thinking woodies should be more powerful & so consume less power... so far just flying with stock plastics... may try woodies tonight..

Forward Flying, and yes, I get 30 seconds longer flight time with the stock plastic main blades.

I see that you have a metronome in the backround of your pictures. Are you a musician or are you practicing tic tocs?

not easy for me to drill such small holes in the frame...and the receiver is really tight and packed for the canopy to put on...

That battery looks humongous in that little heli.
Even a dean connector looks big on the Gaui.
