Well, I'm now the proud owner of 4 trigger valves like the one shown. I think I'll keep two, but sell 2. Not sure what to sell one for. Is $20.00 + shipping too much? I don't have them yet, but you can PM me if you want one. This is a "type one" trigger valve.

May want to test it and personally verify that it works.

Hi Chris, yeah. I plan on doing that. I may have to make an adapter with a longer nipple and a rubber seal. But that shouldn't be a problem. I don't have them yet, but when I do and give it a try.

Well, as Chris suspected these trigger values don't work out of the box. Although the sliding clamp that the valve screws into and tightens down fits perfectly. It seems the inside diameter of the valve it a few mm too small. But I think I've worked out a solution that will be easy and will extend the pin that pushes down on the valve and also seat the gasket better.

If it works I'll post pictures and measurements so that others can do the same. These valves are high quality chrome plated and I'm not sure I want to sell them now since they are hard to find. But I think my instructions will help other modify their own valves when they come across them. Try eBay, that's where I found mine.

Another alternative I may try is to make a valve that fits the top and run a hose to the trigger valve... but that will be more work. So I'll try the simple solution first.

BTW... when filling the on board canister, do you have the PowerMax upside down to fill it with liquid like a propane lighter? Or up straight to fill it with gas?

Incidentally, if none of this works I'll contact Chris again (he must be away since I didn't get a response since I bought these) and see if I can purchase one from him as all of you have suggested. Thanks.

I'm here, and I'm watching.

I buy the same valves and modify (machine) them to work.

Hi Chris! There you are!... funny I PMed you a few weeks back. I've had problems with it occasionally so maybe that was it?

Yeah, looks like that's the only way. I'll give it a try and see what I come up with.

thanks.

You want it right side up to fill it with gas ,,, and even then sometimes you have to turn the heli upside down and pull the fill hose off the little white container of propane and vent out all the liquid that builds up over a few fills.

Thanks Larry. I wasn't sure. I keep thinking about filling up a butane lighter. :-)

Hi all.
OK... SUCCESS! it took me about 45 minutes to complete the conversion once I figured out what I was doing. So tomorrow I'll put together a how-to with pictures. It's late now.

Also, I'll post the How-to in the general Turbine Forum. I think everyone can benefit from this conversion. It was pretty easy to do.
