well my gasser need a new gyro combo
i am giving up on the gy401 s9254
my choices are
1 JR 7703d 8900g high speed servo
2 JR7703d/ 810 sport servo has anyone tried this new servo combo setup in a gasser
3 GY611/s9256
4 DS760 / s8900
5 DS760/ s9256
I currently run a 7703d/8900 in a k3dnitro bird its great I had lots of help to set it up radio wise
I like the 8700 servo from JR with its metal gears but they don't make it to work with the 7703d I have been told
please any input in this subject matter will be appriciated

I am using the JR 7703D with 8900 servo combination on my gasser and very happy with the operation, ease of setup and tail authority.

I'm going to be putting a ds760 in my second gasser, shortly. I'll be using a 9256, just because I've got a spare around. I'd go with the 8900, if you were buying new. "Better, stronger, faster"...;)

The way I feel anymore, I'd suspect it might take that much to get me back into shape.

well I pulled the trigger and chose option 4 from my list above
ordered the
ds760 gyro

and
JR 8900g tail servo

and
zeal tape

going back to regular setup instead of my nice push pull that i had
I wish i could put the tail servo up front instead of adding ballast weight oh well future project

If you're using the Zeal under that gyro, I'd suggest not using the metal plate included with the gyro. It will likely make the stops bouncy.

what is so special about the DS760 over JR or Futaba servos? Is is simply the PC interface?

The PC interface is cool. no doubt about that... but the ds760 has the performance edge. Setup is about as simple as it gets, and the performance right out of the box is unbelievable. Plus, the ability to use ANY servo of your choice. And, updateable firmware...
The list goes on
