Ok, got my new system in the mail today. Reading the instructions, it says not to mount near signal noise and not too close to CF, but the inside of a heli seems filled with these problems. Can some of you post pics of where you mounted your rx please? I know I am being anal, but I really want to get it right for a change instead of "good enough."

On what heli do you want to mount the DSM2 receiver?

On a 450 Rex, I mount it inside the fram, under the main gear with the antennaes out the back. I then shrink wrap some tubing on the boom supports to create insulation. Then I slightly bend and tape the antennaes to the boom supports.
On the 600N, the receiver is mounted up front and about 3 inches of antennae hangs out of a grommeted hole in each side of the canopy. Looks like a pair of whiskers. Works great!

Hmm, that doesn't seem like it follows the mounting instructions of the antennas being at 90 degrees to each other.
It's actually REALLY simple to do it this way (see attached picture) ... the antennas are at 90 and there are no problems with range or reception. Also, it's not touching any CF (like the boom struts), and the antennas are far from the frame or any rotating parts.

Nice setup! That was just a rubber band?

No rubber band ... nothing is touching the antennas at all actually.
The small strap you see there is an Align velcro strap, only for putting a bit of tension on the boom struts.
