I was not sure where I should post this for it pertains to the Knight 3D heli as well as Phoenix. I felt since this is where K3D owners that also fly Phoenix would come more often, I thought this would be the best place. If I have posted this in the wrong area, please forgive me and feel free to move it.

I currently have a Blade 400 but since flying some larger helis on the sim, I am thinking hard about saving towards a bigger heli. Flying in Phoenix I have played around with a couple of the bigger N-helis and since a local pilot I know flies the Knight 3D and loves it, I am considering it.

I know in the sims that some of the models do not mimic the RL helis very well. I was curious if anyone had tweaked a variant file for the Knight 3D for use in Phoenix that they would care to share?

If you feel that the K3D is accurate, I would like to hear from you as well.

mine flys about 95% the same...
only diff is mine faster in real life and less pitchy in FF. so in essence, more stable!!

Oh common eyefly (the local guy I spoke of). Sell your G and pick up Phoenix. I have converted a few and they love it. According to them, the online is much better. Besides, we have a ball flying and chatting via TeamSpeak. Then, I can show you what I'm learning. And yes, I am doing my home work too.

Thanks to a pilot in the Phoenix Social Group, won't mention any names (Capi), I now have a killer K3D variant. Let me know when you get your copy eyefly and I will hook you up too. And yes, I said WHEN YOU GET IT. Because I know you don't think I am going to let you fly MY SIM HELI do you.

Actually, one weekend or maybe one evening, if you want to stop by and check out Phoenix so you can see what you're missing, let me know. ;)

You did change any settings? My real K3D does not fly identically. Do you have some modified models which better matchup?

Can you post settings you have changed.

Greetings

Max

I did not make any tweaks myself. Someone else emailed me another PSG members variant file. I would think he (the originator) would not mind, but let me check with him when he gets back from vacation and if he is cool with it I will post it.

Some of you have asked for the variant file I had mentioned I recently picked up. Well, I checked with Chevy (ZR2Chevy22) and he has agreed to allow me to share it with those that are interested. I have posted it for download on my work server (with permission of course). I cannot promise you how long it will be available here so get it while you can. I will not remove it until I need the space or accidentally clear it when cleaning up the server.

Click here to download Chevy's Phoenix Variant file for the Knight 3D. (http://www.worldkarting.com/heli/knight3D_Chevy.rar)

Thanks Chevy!
