Went to the hobby shop to figure out what to do with the money Im being paid back with. Well guess what? First SD kit the LHS has ordered and as soon as its in its all mine. Cant wait!

What should I expect? What do gather for the build?

HS45's seem standard. How about the HG5000 and matching servo on the tail? And what about a 2s TP910 for the juice?

Im pretty siked. My dx7 was just looking for a third model to fly. Will the new Ar6300 be suited for this? Or just another ar6100 or ar6100e?

Really glad to be joining this bunch and I hope my heli flys as good as I dream it will.

search these threads carefully, and decide whats best for you. i use 2100T, hs45's ar6100e, 3153mg <---don't buy this servo.

the 2100t seems to be really popular in this heli, but isnt the hitec the same thing? what servo do you recomend on the tail instead of what you bought and why should i steer clear of yours?

The 3153 has reliability issues when run in digital mode. They get hot and burn out. The HG5000 is pretty much the logictech so either one. I think you'll find the logictech will be cheaper at least I have. The rest of your setup sounds good to me. You can also run 3s if you want the extra power. 2s is plenty enough for me and I am taching headspeeds well over 4000. You might want to pick up plenty of spare parts and a couple of 00 philips head screwdrivers. Also a .9mm hex driver for the setscrews on the flybar. This heli flys great when setup correctly. It just seems to take more time and effort to achieve this. You might also want to consider changing out the landing gear since you are getting the shaft version. These helis sit real close to the ground and you don't want the tail rotor touching anything but air.

the 3100 servo is a good choice for that gyro, so i'm told.

Hmm. Well maybe ill go the cheaper way and get the logictech gyro. 3100 servo sounds good as well. The 5083 that comes with the hitec is the standard size for this little bird? I know that its what I run on my 450 so im not sure if there are micro tail servos or what. 2s is probably what Im gonna run as well as get the carbon fiber landing gear and then put spacers in the rear such as greybeard (i think it was him) has done.
