The FRP main blades came today and I am pretty happy with them. They feel just like fiber glass blades. They are stiffer than the woodies. They weigh 7.7 grams each compared to the plastic ones 7.5 grams and the woodies 5.7 grams. Unlike the other blades they do not have Gaui embossed at the root even though they are a Gaui part and came in the familiar orange Gaui package. 3d guys will love them as the are very precise and track very well. I like them better than the woodies as the woodies were a little twitchy for me. The best way I can compare them it's like the difference between a new set of michelins and recaps. I'm sure aerodynamically they are more efficient. I was surprised to find that these blades will fold back on the heli without any mods to blades or grips! Until carbon fiber blades become available these will definitely be the blades of choice for hard core 3d guys like Bert K and Buzz. To bad Bert wasn't flying them in that last video. As of today I haven't seen these blades anywhere else except Heli Direct and I checked all the regular Gaui shops online.
