hi Freaks,
I'm really Freaking Out!!
As explained in aprevious thread i'm stuck with a stick calibration after updating my brand new radio:thumbdown:.
I've contacting the Futaba sercice center for my throttle stick issue and have concluded that my radio should be sent to the States for calibration....and i live Mauritius 15,000kms from there....so not really easy !
Does anyone have an idea on how i could re-calibrate my radio:arggg:????????
Thanks
Brian

As far as I know. No one has been able to access the service menu of the 12FG. The service menu is where the calibration page is available.
Just curious. Why would you need to calibrate the stick after making a software update?
I have made a couple of updates and it never affected any hardware functions.

Hi David,
I really can t explain what happened! I also updated friends Tx and had no worries...
Just after updating mine, when i went to either the throttle or pitch curve, i realized that when my stick was at the low side that the axis would rest at approx 25% and not at 0% !
I have no subtrims activated nor any mixes!!!
I m really upset.....
As explained, the radio has only 3 flights.....
I have a friend going to Hong Kong this weekend and think that i will send it to the Futba service center there.....
Cheers,
Brian
Hi Brian,
Forget this..... there is no service centre in HK. All Futaba radios have to sent to Japan! I'm using 12FG too, no one here has found the calibration software yet.

Thanks for the info TGO,
I thought that Radar was the Service Center....
Have you ever heard of this calibration issue before?
Rgds,
Brian.
Hi Brian,
Radar is one of the Futaba dealer here in HK. I once have a 401 gyro need to repair, I sent it to Radar company and it takes 4 months time to return back to me. They told me what they can do is send them to Japan for service.
I heard of the calibration issue from the web, but my friend's & mine are both well calibrated.

The best news for us should be someone find the calibration software !

No way, Michael said 70% of 12FG remote they sold have this STICK CALIBRATION problem after a short period of time usage (around 2 months.) He is highly not recommend it.
Who is "Michael" ? We have 3 x 12FG here, not such problems, all over 3 months....

I also know quiet a few people that have the 12FG and have had them since they came out. I have not heard of any of them mention anything about the sticks being out of calibration. This thread was the first I can remember reading about sticks being out of calibration unless someone was asking how to calibrate them after changing the stick mode.
