Hello synergy pilots, as you can see from the pics below I completely trashed my Raptor 90 3D. I've been looking at the synergys for a while, ( looks like avant copied a little, or visa versa) I have been reading a lot of your threads and it seems as though most everyone really likes these helis. They look great in the pictures and videos. Do you guys think the kits out now need any upgrades other than the hyper hub, or do they fly pretty sweet out of the box. I will be running the YS 91sr and Hatori pipe which was great on my now Extinct raptor. Would appreciate any thoughts on the subject. Thanks.

The N9 rocks very good with stock parts but as you have read some of the upgrade parts make working on the heli much easier and quicker. The Hyper Hub makes setting up the motor a lot easier but you still need to dial indicate the clutch shaft. I also suggest the split collar for the main shaft from Hyper. The stock one works well and to make it work you just have to get the 4 set screws very tight.

Many also recommend the HyperDrive but I find the stock one works great. You just need to get the stock TT mounted on the tail box input shaft straight otherwise you'll have a little vibration and will see the fuel wash a bit. I think I posted how I mounted the TT in my building tips in the sticky. If not I can post the method I used.

The only other thing I would recommend is the new tail hub from Synergy. While I or the guys I fly with here at MHA haven't had any problems others have lost tail grips due to the 3mm screw holding grip breaking. When I first heard about this I replaced the 3mm screws with harder and longer ones from RTL. I use the stock 3mm washer. I have a few hubs coming so I'm going to give one a try. I have over 500 flights between my 2 N9s and they have the stock hub.

Oh I almost forgot, get the hyper Sizer. The new kits come with chrome balls from Vario and they are larger that the stock plastic links. There is a long history here but Synergy never enlarged the links after they went with the larger chrome balls. I would not recommend you fly the heli without first sizing all the links.

Good luck and post if you have any questions.

Edit, Wow I just looked at the pics of the crashed heli. Sorry to see that.
