Hey guys. Great forum you have here.

I'm Steve "SleepyC" Cinch and I currently run www.flyinggiants.com (http://www.flyinggiants.com) for a living.
I have been flying giant scale RC airplanes for quite a few years and tinkering with mini helis for around a year or so.

Last weekend while covering the XFC for the Giants the hei bug bit me hard.
Watching Bobby Watts, and the Szabos and well pretty much all the competitors really got me hooked. The 1000 foot tail slides into kaos spins just literally made me jump out of my broadcasting chair.

So.. 4 days later and I now have a Raptor .50 Titan on the way (From a Helifreak member!)

So please expect a LOT of questions from me in the near future.

Again.. great site, good information, and the videos from Finless Bob are amazing.
:cheers

I was hooked when I saw Youngblood doing chaos like 2' off the deck. That was two years ago. I still suck. Bad.

I keep wondering how much I'll have to practice to get to 3D nirvana.

G,

I think your 100% right.
There are so many cool little things for Heli's.
And you can work on them on the kitchen table with a towel.
The last time I had one of my 40%'s in the house, my wife came at it with a broom!
And your right again, Toro is the the man when it comes to machines.
It looks like I'll get to cover IRCHA for the Giants this year as well..
:D - this new addiction may get UGLY after that.

SleepyC, Be careful at IRCHA that is the last time I ever saw Toro fly fixed wing.. After his first trip covering for FG he sold everything with a wing and hasnt looked back since..The cool little upgrades are nice but its the flight envelope that will really blow your mind.. You think about flying an airplane any manuver you could ever fathom..Grab a helo and you can do it backwards while inverted.. Truly limitless! You want a killer cruiser get a gasser.. I am loving mine...

Enjoy Bro..

Yea.. I have noticed that there is a whole new envelope of things to do.
I have been flying heli's on the sim for 3 years, and flown 400 - 450 size for a year.

I lucked out, and accidentally learned to fly heli's nose in because my sim always started them facing me. HAHAHA, but hey I'm not complaining.

I still get slightly disoriented in inverted flight, so I think I'll be avoiding that for a little while,
but even with the little guys forward flight wasn't to much of an issue.

I really look forward getting the 50 in the air. In fact I can't wait.
I am not looking forward to programming my radio. Toro actually helped me program my 450 heli at Joe Nall 2 years ago... and I had just made minor adjustments to it since. I have never programmed a heli from scratch....and I'm sweating it.

My planes, I can have 3 rates per surface, on 3 sets of conditions with KE mixes, and roll mixes all programmed in,... but I'm nervous about programming this heli...

I did buy a nice blade gage, and balancer... so at least I have a few of the tools..

Man.. Monday can't come fast enough!

So you're the one behind FG? I'm on there too and love it. FG and HF is the only two forums I go on

Max D was the origonal person who brought FG to the web. I helped from day 1 with the artwork and pretty much anything needed.

Max decided to take a job in his selected field that pretty much takes all his time.
Afterthis, we partnered with RCGroups, and since I was established and there since the beginning of the site, I was hired to run FG. It was a pretty natural transition.

I love my job, and look forward to a good year.

I have to say, I think HF is a great site as well.
i am finding myself here more and more.
