I know this has been covered before but i think this is unusual. The vert fin really vibrates up and down so i changed the belt and the TR shaft and checked balance etc. even though i did not think anything was bent. So i fly the blade and it is smooth as silk. i set it down, change the battery and fly again and the vibration is back.

So now i am thinking something is heating up. But when it cools down and fly again - vibration is still there. Could i have stretched the belt in one flight?

looking for suggestions!! I am almost at the point of changing all of the bearings and the TR drive (next to the main gear AGAIN.

Check tail shaft bearings. One gave way on me yesterday into 4 pcs. Like you I'm running hot on motor and esc even thou I have external bec.

Also check the hex bolt holding the tail grips one is loose and vibration sets in. And last check also tail blades a little nick will throw you unbalanced.

maybe the tail hub is bent or the grips are loose.

I would definatly check the tail rotor bearings but something else I would check is the tail rotor hub. (Part 116 in the exploded parts sheet). Take the tail blade grips off and make sure the arms that stick out are not bent. I have not had that happen to me but I do remember reading about it in another post. Hope you find the problem!

Oh as your in to it now. Check the hex screw also coz one snapped on me and had a fast piro in mid air. I auto her to the ground without any damage.

Thanks for the suggestions, the top bearing for the tail drive fell apart - wow, So this must be where it the vibration is coming from. now to get the bearing and put it back together. But i am still wondering why it did not come out before when i made all the changes. just scratching my head!!

I have also been seeing bad vibrations on a fresh battery. Once the battery is 30-40% discharged the vibrations seem to stop.

i had some bad vibrations because the belt had been worn fairly badly. it doesn't look bad just looking at it by itself, but when compared to a new one, its way worn..
