Hello all,

When I tried to start out with helios, I bought a Futaba T6XH PCM 1024 radio. I would continue using that radio but since I moved to Germany, I will need a 2.4 radio so I can use the same transmitter here and when I visit family in the USA. I have heard that buying the radio is the most important part in this R/C hobby, and I have my sights on the new Futaba 10C. I know this radio was just released a couple of days ago, but I hope to get some suggestions to a radio that will suit my needs. Those are a radio which I can use in Germany and in the USA, have no less than 9 channels (once I get good with helios, I like to add other functions such as land gear, etc.) and it needs to have good program; such as button setup, timer for electric flights... etc. My price range is not much more than the asking price from towerhobbies for the Futaba 10C, or 650 Euros. Many thanks....

I would go for the 10C. You already know Futaba's programming. I've ordered one to replace my Futaba 7C 2.4

I would buy the 10C in Germany if your going to use 2.4ghz. There is different regulations in some of the European countries than here in the USA concerning 2.4ghz. If you buy it in Germany/Europe. Then you should be able to use the 2.4ghz in both the USA and Germany without any problems.

I understand that the US versions are a bit stronger in signal strength. I thought though that the 10C was standard now... meaning that the versions are the same to comply with EU and other nation standards. Can anyone comfirm that?
