I have a Raptor 50 Titan and have been contemplating installing a Century Airwolf fuselage. Anyone here know how difficult that installation will be? Will I have to fabricate anything?

According to the Century site the .50 size airwolf fuselage is a close match for the Raptor50 mechanics meaning no modifications needed as they do specify that others require modifications.

If you do not already have the Raptor 50 mechanics, I would suggest that you go with this version of the Century 50 Airwolf...that include ideal scale mechanics, retracts and have all the bulkheads installed for a rather drop in installation similar to the 30 size version I did a few years ago (started on a Wednesday evening and was flying on Saturday!) This way you will find it is really a drop in fit.

As the Rappy is a belt drive, you cannot practically change the length of the tail boom to accomodate a specific scale, so if you may have to go with a longer or shorter boom, you may have to change the tail end of the fuselage or let the boom stick out the back. Also you will have to glue in the bulkheads in positions to suit along with those for the retracts etc.

I have decided to go with the unpainted airwolf fuselage from Century. Any suggestions on what type of paint I should use? I have a compressor and spray gun and have painted the bodywork on a few of my racebikes so I feel I can do a good job. Will the auto paints work?

Auto paints are perfect. Original full scale airwolf was painted with automotive paint named "Phantom Gray". You can even get the exact color code, just do a search on the net.
