Just wondering if you guys new how much a good needle adjustment for the TT36 engine is?

Raptor technique says 2 1/2. Heard some other people say 3 turns. I have been running it at 3 turns and it seems to hover decently, I think. Starting to work on some foward flight. I would like to save more fuel though, but do not want to damage the engine. Suggestions would be much appreciated

Have a:

raptor 30
cool power 15% fuel

There is no correct needle setting that anyone can give you.
There are to many variables like air temp, humidity, altitude, brand and type of fuel and a lot more.
The best advice is to set the needle so that after hovering for a minute or so land and put your finger on the backplate of the engine, you should be able to hold your finger there for 3-5 seconds without pain. Leaner is hotter, richer is cooler.
This will get you close enough for where you are at now.
