Let me preface this by saying this is not an attempt to start an argument or claim one brand is better than another.

Just an observation from your standard average crash meister.:D

My 450 packs have all hit the 100+ cycles mark, and while I have a couple of Kongpower's, DN's, Kokam's and Polyquest packs, the ones that get used the most are the FPs and TPs.

1.Flightpowers come down HOT! On average 20 degrees higher than the equivalent TP pack. This may make a difference in longevity down the road, but right now they're working just as well as when they were new.

2. Flightpowers seem to have more 'punch.' I'm no mad 3dz hotshot but even I can tell the difference. This seems to be consistent whether it's Pro Lites vs Evo lites or standard Evo's vs Extremes.

3. Thunderpowers balance faster than Flightpowers, and hold their balance better. None of my TP packs have ever been out of balance more than .02 volts, and when stored at 3.88 volts per cell will hold that value until their next use. They also come down balanced. Some of my FP packs have had cells off by as much as .82 volts after a flight. Most of them when new arrived with at least one cell off by an average of .15 volts.
The FP's did get better around the 30th cycle, and now after 100 most aren't off by more than .03 volts after storage.

4. Ok, here's where I am a bit biased, so feel free to ignore this part. Whatever possessed Flightpower to route the wires out of each side of the pack, I'll never know, but it is just plain dumb. Takes up more space and reduces the length of the 'reach.'
TP of course routes them both out the same side. Much cleaner and easier to deal with.

So there you have it. Nothing scientific about it at all, just some observations. I've been happy with both brands and will continue to purchase both.
Never had a bad one or one that puffed, either......unlike some of those I mentioned above.:banana
