View Full Version : left battery in freezer !
I put my discharged battery in the freezer to cool it off but forgot about it, and left it in there for 2 hours or so............it will not provide enough power now..............can it be revived? I have heard some guys store lipos in a freezer when they will not be flown for long time.........but evidently it isn't a good idea.
grig,
Your pack is more than likely toast. Some guys store them in a fridge, which is above freezing. It is my understanding they should never freeze because it damages the chemical composition of the packs.

Why would anyone put a battery in the frig?? That just doesnt make any sense to me. I know it will preserve food but some genius thought it will preserve a battery also? No offense to the original poster but i read about this all the time.
It is believed that it is a good way to store them if they won't be used for a while. In addition, people in hot climates store them in the fridge (in the garage) to keep them from getting too hot rather than keeping them in there homes.
There is a rather long thread at another site where people debated the issue...
