Thought I'd share my Spartan 760 settings. Really dialed in my gyro tonight. I'm stoked. Adjusted the end points in fear of the dreaded binding on the tail assembly and decreased the deceleration. to about half way. I've done everything I can think of to get the tail to drift, wag or kickback and it just holds steady. 100% throttle full collective, pitch pumps nary a sway in the tail that isn't from my fingers. Amazing Gyro. For the record, my Futaba S3154 isn't even hot.
Settings attached. Your milage may vary depending on the type of servo, length of servo horn ball link position and so on.

Wouldn't ya know it. Finished my last post sat down with 6 of my best packs fully charged and ready to go, strap a Gaui 2S in the Wolverine spool up to 90% throttle, lift off and do a little "cracky" pumps and settle into a easy hover. Slight drift to the right, I need to add a notch of trim. Float down to the floor, barely rub the carpet with the tail rotors and broke two teeth on the tail bevel gear. The gear on the TT. :arggg: Rub is an over-statement, I've clipped the tips off of grass harder than that. 3:39am, no time or vision to fix it tonight. I await the coming of a new day and a new bevel gear instalation.:FThat

Thanks for posting your Spartan settings, and sorry for your crash.
You too have convinced me - no TTT for me.
I have crashed my Gaui 200 quite a few times, and my tail blades are green from cutting grass, but never had an issue with the tail belt drive.
I will get a another tail belt driven Gaui 200 before I even consider the torque tube / shaft drive.

Thaks guys. The little bugger still flys. Going to swap the shaft later today. I do like the TT but I think after the gears I have break I'll go back to the belt. It's just too easy to break the gears.

I agree. Had I not raised my heli significantly with landing gear I have no doubt I'd have stripped gears as well.

I'm using the belt but I'm still worried about the grass. I removed both skids and the front strut and just left the rear strut (I used the carbon strut but the stock one should work just as well). Now it sits on the two back legs and on the flat frame bottom at the nose end. It looks like it's ready to launch in a drag race but it takes off and lands just fine this way. I did it to shed weight but the nice added benefit was that it jacked the tail up an extra inch or two off the ground.
Autos are now out of the question, if they weren't already. I'm sure I'll never be able to auto this thing with or without skids. :P

Crashed again. No biggy the Gears survived. Went into a back flip at hit the collective a bit short and doinked the grass inverted tail first. Bummer on the crash but it was fun! So much for the 1 in 30-40 flights lol.

Does anyone know who has a Spartan 760 in stock?

I saw some last week but they are gone now. You have to check everyday at several different places cause they just don't last long.
