I have been charging 2 6s batts at the same time on my Hyperion duo. The batts charge up just fine, but the balancing is diferent. On port 1 the batts will balance to within .004 or so, but on port 2 the cells will only balance to about .040 or so. It happens with any of the batteries I try (I have 6 6s packs) so it is not a battery issue, it has to do with the charger. Is this within spec or is there something wrong?

Do the tests again and switch the connection boards. You may find one has a cold solder joint or something that is increasing the resistance.

The same thing happens if I switch the boards......#2 still does the same thing.

I would not worry about it. .040 on a 6S pack is an imbalance of .00666 per cell. If you feel uncomfortable, contact your Hyperion dealer about getting it replaced.
