Hey guys... I am in the mist of switching everything from PCM over to 2.4 and am currently flying the XP9303. I was going to go for the 12X, but just couldn't justify the cost-to-features ratio, so I'm sticking with a trusty 9303, but was wondering if it is possible to transfer models from a PCM 9303 to the X9303 2.4??

Thanks guys!

Models transfer straight across from the 9303 to the 9303 2.4 with no adjustments required. You must transfer the 9303 to the 12X manually. That is a big job when you have 16 helicopters.

Thanks for the reply Jack... Yeah, when I heard that the 12X wasn't transfer compatible with the 9303, I was like, "what's up with that!?". These new TX's hold 30+ models and to make 'em not compliant with each other.. well, that's just crazy!

Sorry to hear that you have to go through all the trouble of transferring all your helis, but otherwise, how are you liking that 12X?? :) I'm looking forward to getting everything transferred over to 2.4 and not having to worry about it anymore.

The 12X is a fantastic Transmitter, but does not have $10.00 more value to me than the 9300. I just like to see people drule over it. It is my Rolls Royce.

I spent a couple of hours with Photoshop to make a 12X label which I stuck on my 9303. I had three people come over and play with the sticks. They all commented on how much better the gimbals felt. Proves you do not need a $1500. radio when a 9303 and a cheap label will suffice.

LOL!!! That's hilarious. It's the whole placebo test thing. That's why when I was hearing all about how great the 12X was, I wasn't sure if it really was or if it was just the thought that it was because you just spent $1500 on it. Haha.

I just got my new X9303 today, so tonight is the beginning of the switchover from PCM to 2.4. I'll definitely have to make up my sticker so I can "feel the difference". :)

That's too funny! I was just thrilled to have an X9303 and didn't worry about 12X envy. :happyd

Yes, just use a 1/8" stereo cable.

I switched from XP9303 to X9303 and it took about 10 - 15 minutes to swap over about 12 models. And that included figuring out you can't use a mono cable. :)

Not to hijack the thread but at the field today, a buddy with a XP9303 (converted to 2.4) and my new X9303 could not transfer any models either way, we kept getting an "Error 10" when we tried to transfer.

So, after we duped the setting manually, we tried the master/slave, and get this, we both had to be in master for it to work???? I was the "slave" set to master, so anytime I got into trouble he would let go of the trainer switch and have control.

I use the same cord with a DX7 in both a master and slave setup and it works fine for buddy boxing, so I know it's not the training cord.

Was it a stereo cord (3 contacts and wires)?

Same training cord I've used for the longest time with the DX7:

This one has 4 contacts.
