no i haven't got one.....thinking about tho.hovered the 550 in the lounge but you know....
guess i shouldn't.anyway i posted a couple of things on the buzzkill clutch.....was just looking at jetleafs chinese weight mod and thought (lightbulb) would it be possible to fit a one way bearing with the tail shaft gear on it.dunno how big a 200 one way is but i'm guessing its weenie.whatdayareckon......

ok surf.....if you've got one in front of you is it weenie enough to fit inside the tailcase with the tailshaft gear on it.or look possibly adaptable

Not nearly enough room in the tailbox. OWB is 6.5mm OD and 5.9mm height. Unless you take out the gears.Even if it did fit you would have a balance issue. The size of this beeotch just want accomodate additional components in the tail box. Not without a major re-design. I thought about extending the tail shaft outside the box (npi) on the verical fin side and possibly attaching the "clutch" there.

how bout fitting an owb directly behind the drive gear off the main pinion.closer to c of g.have front gear connected to outer of owb then drive shaft running off inside.ya probably thinking whose the dickhead who hasn't even got one.......first chopper was a v1 shogun and the stripping gear thing used to piss me off beyond belief.once i start trying to fix something.....

With the existing design I don't see how. There just isn't any available room. The one thing you hear over and over from people that buy there first 200 "I can't believe how small it is" Not to say it can't be done, and would you be able to afford it. When you start weighing the cost of any solution versus the cost of replacement parts for the existing design most would probably just rather buy existing parts. If there were some type of clutch or whatever for the tt 500 or 600 T-rex's maybe you could work on some variation of that design but I'm not aware of any for them either.

I could see this as a possible fix. Just get out your largest magnifying glass and then go to the store and buy one twice it's size! Now that you can see what your doing, can we find a OWB that small?
seriously, this might be an option

Maybe Im being thick but I cant see how a OWB will help?
The problem is the tail rotor stopping and the motor carrying on driving AIUI.
If thats the case then to prevent stripping of the gears the OWB will have to be setup so that the motor cant drive the tail rotor when its locked...
(See where Im going here?)
As thats the same direction as when its not locked AFAICS the motor will spin and the tail rotor wont.
Do correct me if Ive misunderstood....

wondering........if you have an inline owb on your tail shaft.......and your happily landing when gaia sticks her fat arse in the way ie ya tail blades make friends with terra firma....would the initial strike reverse the direction of the tail rotor, bounce as such, letting the owb free wheel slightly saving those stupid little plastic gears.ya spooling down (hopefully) at the same time would it take away the tooth breaking shock impact? hate giving up on an idea till it bites me

Try sticking your hand in the main rotor when its spinning to see if your theory would work. after all it already has a OWB in the drive to it :rolling

ok.gently spin your main blades with your hand.when their rotating stick your finger in and see what happens :tongue.....actually not joking just tried it....

thats assuming your decelerating when you touch your tail blades mind you......your rotors driving your tail :)
