just had an email from joe at castle creations.he wasn't aware of any issues with the gaui esc but asked for links to drew and mlittle's threads, thanked me for the heads up and said they are going to order a gaui esc and test the combo.unreal response and attitude ten points i reckon.SO..... anyone else who has tried this combo and has or HASN'T had issues pipe up.......and this ain't a poll they should be reserved for poll dancers :smokin: .

I've had good luck so far with Castle ESCs. I have a Phoenix 35 in the Blade 400 and a HV85 in the 550. I had a CC35 pop right out of the box and they sent me a new one, no questions asked.

already had another response from them and joe's checking over your threads as we speak.they just went up to 12 outa 10 points in my estimation.shit if they get it sorted i'll buy one of their becs outa sheer respect......told him about this thread as well so anyone with input on gaui esc castle creation becs SAY SOMETHING.ha just reread this before posting and i've got an allergy to arse kissing.i haven't swollen up yet.....

My Castle BEC started this 'discovery' and I'll be buying another for my T-Rex 450 that has a Scorpion -8 motor along with a Castle Link at some point to bump these buggers up in voltage. I'm sure I'll end up with a Castle ESC at somepoint too, just didn't have the coin to get one to get the 550 up and flying right away...

what problems were they having? I am using their Bec with my gaui 50 amp esc in my New HDX 500 and I haven't had time to look into it but I believe the BEC is causing my problem, if I run 4s lipo or 5s A123 it works fine, but every time I have tried 6s A123 My gyro goes nutz after 1 minute. my assuption is the voltage is too high, but since I have been playing with different motors and gearing in the Hurricane, I haven't looked into it yet.

concept 1 till joe at castle has a chance to test the gaui castle combo DON'T USE IT.check drews agonizing thread and mlittle's hurricane problems.in castles downloadable instructions/faq it specifically(far as i can tell anyway) advises not to power your esc from their bec unless its a phoneix hv esc.the gaui esc will not resurrect itself anew from the ashes-------------------------------------------------------------:lolol
