This is all new territory to me so was wondering if you guys can help, I am getting a Spectra G and would like to know what else I will need I already have the electronics from my Stratus which is getting the boot as I cant afford the gallons of GLow fuel it likes to drink so really I guess its the engine, pipe & Blades that I still need to go sort out.
Is the MA105-5 Tuned up version of the Zenoah worth the extra money? also what pipe is everyone using still the Hatori?
Thanks for your help

I've been debating on getting a Spectra too. I've held off, mainly because of the pipe issue. Someone posted a new version of the Hatori pipe that supposedly fixes the coming loose issue.
Any comments? I'd love to pay just a few bucks for fuel on at least one of my machines!

The TRM motor IS worth the extra money for sure. The TRM runs the smoothest of all, and makes the best power IMHO.
Use the same gear that you used in your Stratus, they should work fine.
The pipe issue is not so cut and dry and the Hatori makes the best power and is quiet as well, but does have some issues with coming off. A stainless adapter IS the ticket. Hatori is/will be producing a stainless version adapter with a new version of the Hatori pipe, However the prototype I had did not fit any of the Gas models that we fly, the adapter was too large (too tall). The adapter will not retrofit to the current Hatori pipe either, I hope this changes. I am quite sure that Hatori will remedy this ASAP and to everyones satisfaction.
Don't use a G-26, it will shake the model to pieces. The TRM G-26 runs much more smoothly than the stock motor and may work out to be an alternate choice once testing is done.
