Tried jumpers to receiver , power up the reciver then plug into computer , still no responce

Install the v-bar drivers that came on the CD with your vbar.

In your device manager right click on the yellow exclamation mark goto properties and update driver, Choose to manually find the driver and navigate to the drivers on the CD.

Does the vbar unit need to be powered up via the receiver to work ? Or will the usb cable power up the vbar unit ?

You need to have your receiver powered ( either by rx pack, or BEC ), thus supplying power to the v-bar, in order for the software to recognise a connection. The power transfered via the USB cable is NOT sufficient.

Figured it out.

The germans might have great electronics , hope the usb cable isn't from the same factory.

Usb cable bad , used the one from my blackberry and it recogized it right away.

Thanks , martin.

I am also having difficulty getting my VBAR to connect to my laptop.

I have downloaded version 3.6.16 of the software to my XP machine and have also installed the PC driver from the little DVD. The VBAR , connected to 3 servos and my powered up RX seems to work fine when moving the gyro sensor all the servos work but when the software is opened, VSTABI 3.6.16 Serial, the opening screen indicates NO CONNECTION in red. The Select Port box indicates COM 5 green ticked but when this is highlighted and then Select is clicked there is still no connection. I am using the Serial lead with the USB adaptor.

I am not very PC savvy and hope some kind member can please help me and suggest what I should try next? I can also confirm that the interface cable is plugged into the STABI box with the white dot uppermost.

Please help?

make sure your labtop OS is 32 bit , Vbar has no 64 bit driver

Thank you , notsip.

I have tried the software on an older laptop and I get a connection, so perhaps theOS on the first machine was 64 bit.

Thanks for your help.
