I've been flying the little gaui 200 about 90% of the time the last week or two, I LOVE the little thing. And, it just keeps getting better.
First I swapped out the 401 gyro for a logictech 2100, it got lighter and funner. :P Then today I tried out the two motors in the Bert and Ernie vid, the 4850 and the 5150. Both were additional improvements. I've felt my belted 200 could stand a little more headspeed (actually tailspeed) to lock the tail better in backward flight since I've had it. It holds ok but I was always wondering if it was going to blow out. With the 4850 motor the extra umph improved the tail noticebly and it had a little extra grunt overall. I liked it and almost didn't try the 5150.
Visions of bert's video kept nagging at me so I finally gave in and crammed in the 5150. Whoa! That opened up a lot of new possibilities. The tail feels great now, funnels and aileron tictocs are MUCH easier. My sloppy flying is camoflaugued nicely by the raw power.
I was really just wanting a little more tail authority, but the extra power is too much fun to give up, the 5150 is staying in ! I've only got a few flights on this motor but so far so good, I'd say try it if u're looking for some extra grunt.
BTW, the 4850 motor mount screws are the same size as the stock motor screws and lined up perfectly with the slots in the frame. the 5150 motor screws are slightly smaller and the hole spacing was slightly closer together than stock so I dremelled the slots about a mm or so on each one to get the provided screws installed. Both motors came with bullet connectors and motor mount screws.
Just thought I'd throw out another data point and three cheers for the 5150. :banana
