Guys, help me out here. I'm a noob at cp. I'm flying (sorta) a Blade CPP, stock electronics, motor, radio, etc. I sat it down pretty hard last night, and had a blade strike on an inanimate object. Checked everything out, all's okay, nothing bent or busted. When I had at it again, the takeoff characterists are different. It used to get light on the skids, and ease itself up. Now it stays grounded as head speed increases, then "pops" off the deck really quickly. It's almost like the throttle / pitch mix got changed, but it's pre-set in the TX and I don't think its even adjustable.

Again, nothing is bent or broken, the blades are tracking correctly, etc. No vibrations, shaking, or any other weirdness. With the motor disconnected, the blades change pitch correctly as throttle stick increases, no sudden jumps.

I'm really baffled here. Anyone have any thoughts as to what might cause this?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Sounds like something in the head is sticking. You might not see it on the bench since there's no force on the blades when they're not spinning. You could try pulling on the blades and giving collective inputs.

Obviously something is bent or broken though.
