Well, I bought a Venture 30 as a trainer last year and finally got a chance to fly it the past few months. It's really a great trainer, easy to work on and easy to hover. I haven't crashed it yet, but I've noticed that it's been discontinued and that parts are disappearing. Am I out of luck?

What, historically speaking, has been JR's policy on supporting their helis at the end of their product life?

Any information is appreciated.

Where are you seeing that the parts are disappearing? Horizon still shows all parts in stock and none of the parts as having been discontinued or tagged to be discontinued as of today.

I was looking for the Venture 30 Repair Kit (JRP9005RS) and was not able to find it at Horizon. Then I looked on HeliProz's website with no luck. Which lead me to the listing of the Venture 30 on Horizon's site that lists the Venture 30 as discontinued. Which is the reason I am asking.

I haven't crashed it yet, but I was curious if I needed to stock up on parts.

The crash kit parts are all still avaliable as the individual parts. I never bought a crash kitbecause some of the parts in it I have never repaced or like the main blade grips I went to the Ergo grips that are much better. As to the avaliablity of parts Horizon still stocks parts for the Ergo 30 which goes back many years and also many of the parts are also used on the Venture 50.
