Hi all!!

I'm just getting started in this RC helicopter hoppy, it is great fun! :Bang
I have not yet gotten that much airtime. First I tried the newly purchased Belt CP RTF (plastic) indoors and chrashed into the sofa

After another crash I got a great deal on a chraskit, so now the chopper is very nicely set up (especially after reading all of your previuos postings, great help!!!). I tried it indoors on a windy day and it flew perfectly. The next day the wind was calmer and I took it out side and started it up and the pit servo (rear right side) flipped out and went as far back as it coold, i pulled the battery out and tried again then the servo didn't respond at all - it was dead!

Anyone had the same problem?? (it is the stock belt transmitter and 8g servos)

Anyway, that was not the initial question!

As I would like to make my belt as stable as possible I thaught to replase the plastic control arm with a metal one (thanx ChappersSP on youtube). But also later on do a direct servo to swash plat mod. But I can't seem to find any good information on this mod on a belt cp, but I know many of you have done it. Can anyone please point me in the right direction or perhaps create an informative video on how to?

I would be ever so thankful! :noteworthy

P.S. I am now ordering TP SG-90 servos to get it more responsive as well... (budget modification :)) D.S.

Hi Boddan
Welcome to the forum
About the stock servo's, yes they break easely I've stripped 3 of them already but like you will upgrade to sg90's, I already have them on my copterx
For the DTS mod there are only pics here (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=68408), and different methods:

1) In the frame
2) With brackets out the frame

For you to decide which you prefer

Perfect!

That thread was really helpfull, just what I was looking for.
I think I will mount either the 90 degrees version (but with alloy instead of platsic) or the integrated mounting, both looks good but there is a bit different in complexity.

I ordered my Tp servos and I recieve them tomorrow!

Thanx!
