View Full Version : Flybar drops when increasing pitch?!

Hi,

I'm almost finished building my Hurricane 550 now, with some final calibrations to be made. When I go from zero pitch to half stick (throttle), the flybar drops (goes down) on the left side. I've not built the head myself, it came pre-assembled from factory.

Is this normal with the standard setup or is the flybar always supposed to be level?

Joel,

It's probably not an issue at all - if you are seeing this when you simply give more throttle then it's not at all surprising - I'd be more surprised if it didn't do something. All it probably is is that one of the links is slightly tighter than another and hence will move more easily. It's worth going over the head to make sure that all links are free and move smoothly, if not then "size" them.

Enjoy,
Mike.

Joel...

If your talking about it dropping when your just sitting on the bench and playing with the pitch that is normal, remember the paddles will be spinnng at 1800 rpms or so and will only go where the servos tell them to....

Do check as Mikej suggests....
