I am getting a strange noise....when I do staionary pirouettes, I get a buzzing sound. It's not a very fast pirouette but a controlled one. It's not the mesh with the crown gear because I have no signs of stripping there. I replaced the crown gear anyway becasue it was stripped before. Also, when I take it up and do a quick turn and stop I don't get any backlash at all.

So far the only thing I see right now is that maybe it could be the control rod buzzing in the guides along the tail boom. I think if that were the case I would hear it all the time. If I do tic tocs I don't hear anything at all. It's only during slow pirouttes. Any ideas? :arggg:

Thanks

Put a dampner on the rod and see if it makes a difference or change the throttle curve to a higher head speed to see if it is indeed a vib setting up in the rod. Which heli are you flying?

Check how tight the blade holders are to the hub..

Guys, thanks for the info. I think I figured it out. After pulling the tail and the torque tube I found the problem. On the torque tube the bearing that sits in the middle came unglued. It was moving aroung back and forth on the shaft. I had another shaft and installed it. I will jb weld this one back and leave it as a spare. I won't be able to try it again for the week so I will see next weekend if that fixed the problem. Thanks for the replies. :D
