Hello guys,

I was fortunate enough to get a couple of the very first made KIWI regulators from Fromeco.

What makes this regulator special is that it is more of a voltage management system than just a regulator, and has 2 seperate voltage outputs, one is 5V regulated, and the other is unregulated from the battery pack (7.4V for Li-ion and Li-po or 6.6V for A123).

The kiwi has sockets for 4 Rx channels, meaning for example that 4 channels could be getting 8V while others are fed 5V through the reciever, on a seperate (built into the unit) 5V regulator.

This is extremely useful with today's 3D pilots that use servos such as JR 8717 that can run on 8V.
your 3 eCCPM servos will get direct un regulated voltage from the Kiwi, and the signal will from the reciever.
All other components in the electical system (gyro + tail servo, governor + throttle servo, carb smart + mixture servo) will still run on 5V through the Rx directly.

Of course the Kiwi also has fromeco's well known fail safe switch socket that could be used with a pin\flag or slide switch.

This means we finally have a plug-n-play system for a 2 voltage setup !

For now i still dont have pics of the unit, but i can say it is similar is size, weight (and should also be in price) to the Arizona regulator.

Fromeco should put it up on the website soon..

Hi I3DM

Nice:smokin::thumbup:

From realraptors Homepage:
The Kiwi is a 4 channel voltage regulator.
This gives 4 x 5 vdc outputs for use with gyro's and throttle servo's and 4 x 8 vdc outputs for use with higher voltage servo's
Pinflag swich is required for turning the regulator on and off. Input is from a 2 cell 7.4V input. Comes with Deans connectors for battery connection.
For use with Mission 3000mAh or 4200mAh cells

1. Can I use my Relion 5200 battery?
2. This mean i can feed my FASST 6014 reciever with 5V, and the 8717 gets the 8V directly from the KIWI?

1.
the 8717 @8V, is going into the KIWI

2.
the gyro, tailservo, throttle, govenor and carb.smart, goes into the reciever or the Kiwi?

Ups, just read the first post again....

Ups, just purchased two KIWI regulators for my stratusses.
Today I use a Arizona regulator.
I like this KIWI regukator, its easyer to install, and the wire connections lokks better.

BUT: How do a charge my Battery?
My Fromeco Relion, does only have the dean output, my other fromeco batteries has s JR and Dean output plug.

PS:
here is the manual:

Knud,

why not just charge it directly fromt he single DEANS connector ?

All of my batteries have double connectors, for charging.

Because I have secured the deans connector togehter, so that i dont loose power in the air.(have tried that before)
And it's like the deans get looser, every time they are disconnected

The newerst Relion, does only have the Deans connectors.
The old ones did have the Deans and the JR connectors

PS:
What is the connections under the "Pin flag connectors for on the KIWI?
