Bantam e-Station BC6-10 Charger - Review / how to

Here is a little reviewage for ya all as well as a set of how to use this charger.

I have been using it for over a month now and it is one of my favorite chargers!

I tried searching for "Bantam e6-10" on Google but does not come up with anything. However, on rcaccessory's website they call it the "Bantam BC6-10"
Not a big deal, just thought I would mention it. :)

Hi Bob,

On your second video, where you are talking about trickle charging a NiCd or NiMh battery, you mention that you would trickle charge at 1C but that would be 1.5A for a 1500Mah battery. I think you ment to say C/10 for a .15A or 15Mah trickle charge.

Check it out between 5:05 min. and 6:15 min.

There are a few differences:

BC-6:
50 watts of power
No Ni-xx trickle charge
5 battery memory locations
AC or DC powered
5 amp Max charge rate
5 watts of discharge power with 1 amp limit
Combined USB/Temp probe port - can only use 1 at a time

BC6-10:
200 watts of power
10 battery memory locations
DC powered only
10 amp max charger rate
25 watts of discharge power with 5 amp limit
large heat sink & built in fan for cooling
Separate USB and temp probe port - can use both at the same time

Both program exactly the same. The BC6-10 is a much higher powered unit.

I really like my BC6-10. I had a BC-6 and loved it, but needed something to charge 6S 5000mAh batteries. I'm wishing now that I had kept the BC-6 as well.

Thanks Evan and Bob for these Vids. I am a noob and just purchased a used TREX 450 off EBay but it didnt come with a charger. I have been pouring over threads and reviews for the last 2 weeks and have been struggling with selecting a charger that I could use now and grow into when I upgraded to a TREX 600. This video series sealed the deal and I put in my order for the BC6-10 on rcaccessory.com this morning.

Also want to give a shout out to kgfly. He has answered many many posts about chargers and his knowledge and research are invaluable.

Nice one Bob. I was given an unboxed, 1 year old BC6 that has never been used.
It came with a TP/FP board only. I didn’t know it could do Align as well.
Now I can finally charge my dust gathering Align 11.1 2100 22C battery that the TP101
won’t touch. Thanks.

This charger can only go up to 6S
I would think, you would stay with the TP 1010 that can do 10s with the TP-210 balancer or if you like E station I would go with the 902 that goes to 12S. Just my thoughts.

The 902 does not have the built in balancer.

Yes I will continue to use my 1010 as well as the BC6 for all my types of packs and of course for 10S the 1010...

Nice looking charger. Wonder how it will compare to the cheaper TP-610C.
