Hi I'm new to the forum, but been flying helis for 2 yrs now.

I have a Fury Extreme with YS 80, and a Zimmerman two piece exhaust at the moment. A mate has given me a Hatori SB16 exhaust to try - does the Hatori pipe need a support further down the pipe ??

I've seen them fitted with and without supports, just wondering if anyone has had any trouble without the support - I believe they are designed to be used without a support anyway.

Thanks

Stuart

If the header is like the one it the picture. That is the FH ( fixed header). Then it does not need any additional support.

If the header is like the one in this picture on the right side, Then yes the muffler is going to need supported towards the outlet end of the muffler

The SB 16 was made in both versions. The FH was the later version of the SB16.

Thanks guys, the mounting system i have is two O-rings over the manifold which slides inside the pipe. The pipe is secured with 4 bolts and metal bushes, along with clear rubber O-rings on each bolt - soft mount system I think its called ???

No additional support needed on that one. It is an FH ( Fixed Header) version of the SB 16.
