Well, a friend let me borrow his 200 and I bought a 3154 for the tail about 2 weeks ago. I had the GY401 set to digital and after about 5 flights the servo died. I was not happy at the time, and tossed the servo in my junk box thinking I burned the motor out.

Well today, I had a couple of servos come in from ebay for my foamies and figured I would run some tests on the servos and take apart this $25 POS 3154 servo. Sure enough, one of the wires going to the motor had snapped from vibration. A little solder and she's good as new. The wire used on the motor is very rigid and the small PCB can move inside the servo case easily causing this to happen.

Makes you wonder how many of the other 3154's that people thought were burned out are actually a broken wire. I have some of the 3156 and was not impressed. 2 of them never center in the same place and one started oscillating back and forth on it's own and finally just went to it's travel limit and kept trying to go further. These were brand new also. They are in the junk drawer now.

I am so not getting the warm and fuzzy feeling about opening up my S3154....

"JR have a new digital servo out which is a nice size for the 200, I 've been using one for a while now and I'm very pleased with it... its a DS380G, very fast and designed for tail use on heli's"
I already wrote that in another post... they sell in uk for about £23.00..I have one on my mini titan as well, and NO problems.. My Gaui has over 40 hours flying now, about half that with the DS380G fitted
