Knowing Charley this 550 will require 240S 10mah :)

Steve is on vacation in Conn.. But I will call him and let him know what I think if Charley goes to the port-o-let at the field and there is a charged pack anywhere in sight. ;)

Bob, any thoughts on doing build vids for the Outrage G5?
Thanks,

just looking at that frame design again and you got the motor pinion sitting right where the tail drive gear would be, must be some little system going on there to drive main gear and belt.

I think the tail drive gear will be underneath the main gear. Like on the Raptor E620.

ah, single stage drive with the belt going right round a gear on the main shaft?
That would allow the motor pinion to miss the belt.

looks like main-shaft belt driven tail to me. The silver tail-drive looking thing appears to be an idler pulley. If that is the case I am diggin it. Looks like maybe a belt-drive from motor to main as well? Tough to tell, but motor looks kinda far from the main-shaft in the pic.

So many questions and just one picture. The suspense! I think Charley is pulling a page from Align's playbook. Get us all happy about one thing (G5), let it set in for a quick second, then show some early pics of the next thing.
My credit card is trembling in fear right now. :YeaBaby:

Primary drive is gear to gear. Tail drive is belt around pulley mounts to main gear. These are the only parts other than the frames that I have seen... But Charley was due to be back from overseas last night so... I am hoping to see him at the field tomorrow.

I flew it, I flew it, I flew it :YeaBaby:
I can't see any reason anyone would be disappointed in this thing... I rocks.
It is just the perfect size
Power was off the hook
I snuck a pic of it with my webcam. not the best pic but maybe we can shame Charley into posting some good ones.

Guys I am thinking about dumping my Logo 500 and replacing it with a Heli that will be cheaper to fix. I am just curious how the cost of the Outrage parts will compare to the Logo parts? Don't get me wrong the Logo has been the best flying Heli I have ever owned but I find myself holding back to much with it for fear of putting it into the ground.

I know Charley well enough to say it will be a low cost repair like the g5. When you can stuff it so bad that half the frame including braces need replaced an its under $100 to fix (my g5 hit with a 90 class thud :arggg: in hard dirt) that's some good pricing. I'm selling off allot of my heli fleet to make room for the outrage line. To put it simple my trex's are gone with 2 x-cell's on the block and the only things staying (other then my g5) are my b400 (actuly belongs to my web store), A trex 600, and my Hornet. I want to stretch the 600 to a 90 class elec. My raptor will get used to test some cnc stuff then get sold and the 2 x400s are going too. When I got the g5 I had 16 helis (omg no room) and I just need room for the outrage stuff. I will be adding to my planes though. At the rate charley is working with 2 of each outrage as I plan I will need all the room I can make.

Raydee...although pricing has not been completely determined as of yet...the kit and parts will be very competitively priced...I don't have a clue what Logo Parts go for...but I can pretty much imagine we will be very nicely priced compared to Mikado...
