I'm moving up from the Raptor and still learning heli's so please forgive me if this is lame.

On the Raptor I clip the JR pitch gage on the blade and sight down the top of the gage and line it up with the flybar. Didn't seem to matter if the blades were tilted or not. The flybar tilted with them and always gave the same reading. On my Vibe the flybar tilts farther than the blades. So unless I have the flybar perfectly square to the main shaft I'm not getting a true reading on my gage. Am I right, or did I make a mistake building this thing? If this is true then what's the best method for squaring the flybar to the main shaft?

This is normal. It just means the flybar ratio is not 1 to 1. And this is more common than a 1 to 1 ratio. Reads most any set of instructions and it tells you to have the flybar horizontal (perpendicular to the main shaft) when checking pitch.

Get a bubble level from Home Depot with the little hooks on it. Level the boom then hang it on the flybar while doing your pitch measurements.

Like Terry said, the Raptor is 1:1 flybar ratio, the Vibe isnt.
