I did a nose dive into the dirt and broke some common parts. I replaced the main shaft,spindle,1 grip, fly bar, and boom. After I did my setup again I feel the heli lost power. Somewhat sluggish as if someone played with my curves. Did anyone expierance this or know whats up.

maybe your battery is bad? it might have taken the brunt of the crash?

I tried a different battery just now and it still feels sluggish. Im getting a vibration from somewhere. Is it possible this can cause the rpm's to suffer?

Thats your problem..... I know it shouldnt matter, but I fought the setup for a week before I changed both grips. Now its fine. It blew me away.... as well as EVERYONE else that I know that flies, but thats what it was.

Check blade tracking, if it's off it can diminish the amount of lift produced by the blades.

I was checking stuff out and I want your thoughts. See if you guys can try this. I took my whole ccpm assembly off so all was left was the main shaft bare. Now I turned the heli on increased throttle and the tail(fully assembled) vibrated like crazy. A real serious resonance. Now im thinking something is bent or the tail wasnt made to spin that fast because there is no load on the engine from the main blades. Has anyone checked this out before.

Also when viewing the tail from above I noticed the tail grips sway left to right when rotating by hand. Its about a little more than 1/16th of an inch. The aluminum tail hub even new has some slack on the tail shaft. Can this cause the blades to be out of track? here is an illustration I drew up to help me get this solved.

Does your blades rotate perfectly perpendicular to the tail shaft like the red line or do they follow around like the black line?

belt tention
tracking (as said)
also check the boom supports

your tail shaft may be bent
also check you slider arm for smoth travel

also hard to bend but possible
the pully gear in the frame behind the main gear set
watch you main gear while spinning and see if it wabbles the oneway might be alil crooked had one installed that way from factory

Sokal the main gear when facing it doesnt wobble left to right but it does sway up and down as if its warped. The main shaft stays perfectly still, just the gear itsself travels a wavy like movement, but I think they all do that right?

i had a main that wabbled cause slight vib
now min is flat

its bad if it a lot of wobble

now you dont need to use 100 rpm low rpm causes more vib
i use about 45%

if thier a wobble and main is good then its the tail
either to tight or tail belt or even the tilhub can bend
any slight bend or deviation from perfect will cause vibs
mostly its the shafts

or the tail braces comming un glued from mount points
belt tention is if you hold main and attemt to rotate tail with med force should not skip
perfect tention is the tention right after the skip point

if you check it it will seem loose
but as long as not belt skiping occures its fine
with that type of tention you will achive the most
friction free preformance out of her

Check it out guys.
I found a neat way to check for a damaged belt or tail pulley.
I used a allen key to hold the belt pulley found on the top of the tail case of the heli.
I then powered up the heli and felt a very rough vibration. I looked over the belt and saw minor teeth damage but I felt that I should look at the tail pulley. After I replaced the belt and pulley I still had some vibrations in the tail. I really about had it, and then I adjusted the tail hub again and BAM all gone. No more vibrations. It seems the tail pulley was sending harsh vibrations down the boom and miss aligning the tail. The funny thing is it effected my idle up function. The vibrations were so bad the engine wouldn't even idle up for stunt. Here I was about to get a new motor cause I was convinced the motor is gone.

Here are the pics

Thanks guys

This is a very weak gear that seems to slip or strip often. Eflight is making an aluminum replacement and this will be a good upgrade to consider.Mine slipped down on the shaft during flight and tail blade stopped and piroed to the ground.
