All,

I own an old Futaba 7UHPS radio and I've been searching for information of converting old 73 Mhz to 2.4GHz radio by changing the transmitter and receiver module.

I am sure that I am not the first person asking about this, but I could not find any

If there was a discussion about it, please let me know the thread.

My questions are:
1. Is it possible to convert the 73MHz radio to 2.4 GHz radio?
2. Are there any disadvantages in doing it this way compared to purchasing a new 2.4 GHz radio?
3. Is the price of converting the old radio as much as buying a new 2.4 GHz radio?

Thanks!

I can't really answer your questions, but I can point you in the right direction. I'd move this post to the Futaba section, from there Bax or Krysta can answer the post.

OK, I guess that answer question 1 & 3.

It seems the price is as much as purchasing a new radio.

You must have read my mind.

I just feel that I am wasting money by buying a new one when there is a perfectly good radio at hand.

What could I do with the old radio?
I am sure it has no value by now.:dontknow
