Just wanted to be sure and remind everyone to watch Monster Quest on the History Channel this Wednesday, July 2nd, at 8:00 pm for the second airing of the Grassman of Ohio episode featuring Bergen R/C, Greg Alderman, and the E-Observer flying at night with a FLIR camera.

Enjoy, and don't laugh too hard....:)

Thanks! I've been looking for the replay of that episode. Time to go set the TiVo now...

:YeaBaby: I was reading thru the 'freak when the first run was on, only half interested in it. It got real interesting when you and Greg started flying tho!

It was hard to tell from what they showed on the program, but it looked like that heat signature was pretty small and above the ground- what did it look like to y'all?

That was great! I missed the show the first time. I wish they had spent more time talking with you guys! Too bad you didn't bring more battery packs with you for the night flying. :)

We had 2 sets of packs, we flew for a total of appx 25 minutes in two different places.

Each set of packs gives us 12-15 minutes depending on payload.

Still, I wish they would have shown more!

So where is the Sasquatch? I liked the night flying bit especially since I just came back from night flying my 450 at the local park where I get to meet all the Franklin cops! I was a little disappointed that you didn't bring enough battery packs, the show made it seem like you only brought one pack, but if you were on the "mission" I would have expected to bring 4 to 6 packs as you don't expect to take off and see something right away.

In any case good show, you were looking good on that show! Did you guys get paid to perform?

:) Thanks.

We had 2 sets for the E-Observer, that's it. I have quite a few packs, but they are spread out between 3 different electric birds we're developing....

This shoot was done "for fun", recreation, whatever you want to call it, we got paid in no way shape or form...

The exposure, for us, for the Industry, even for the hobby, is "Priceless"!!

I got paid!!!! Chris bought me a steak dinner at a back woods dinner we ran across...but DAMN the steak was good...think it was fillet of Grassman! LOL

you should have seen the way his GPS took us...I was worried I was going to be made to "squeal like a pig" if the truck had got stuck in the mud!!! I swear I heard banjo's playing while driving on that back road

Backwoods is right!! That was a scary trip. And the guys from MonsterQuest were in a CAR following us through this maze of dirt roads and blind cutbacks....
