Is there any other differences between these radios besides model match and 2.4 ghz?
Is all programing features the same?

How about the Jr 2.4ghz receiver? Is it more reliable than the Spectrum Receivers? lock out wise?

Thank's in Advanced..

Anthony

The timer on the X is a larger font than the XP. Not sure what else :)

Hey Anthony.. . Well, as I just got my X9303 2.4 and have both versions in front of me.. As HFG said, the timer is larger on the display. Other than the modelmatch, servo synch, etc.... its exactly the same Tx.

I can't comment yet on the reliability of the JR Rx's compared to the Spektrum, but I'll be using the 6200 and 7000 Spektrum Rx's in my helis just due to size... I'll use the included JR 921 in one of my planes eventually.

They are exactly the same Rx internally. Made on the same line.

Only difference is label and in some cases color of plastic case.

My JR 921 has lights indicating the antenna status, the AR9000 doesn't ... other than that, same performance out of both RXs.

I know the xp9303 is not 2048 revolution.but x9393 is.
so x9303 will have more connect when you fly

Only if you use a 9 or 12 channel Rx. All the 7 channel and below are only 1024 resolution.

Considering typical stick movement and 1024 resolution your looking at a stick resolution of around 0.001inch. As if any human would be able to move the stick half the distance to really feel any difference between 1024 and 2048.

People who have flown them back to back, say they can feel the difference.

I agree with your analysis, but it is amzaing what people can actually feel.

This weekend from using a 10x 1024 to a Futaba 2.4 2048 I felt a whole lotta good things. Futaba has a smooth silky cyclic control. The Jr felt a bit ratchety like feeling.
This is very noticeable when hovering the Heli making small corrections. The Futaba was smooth as butter.

On Another subject:

Funny thing happen to me today with the Futaba 2.4 system.

I took the 500 out for wiz in the backyard.
I gave it full collective and notice a power loss.
All of sudden, there was massive amounts glitching.
These where no power and control type of glitches that lasted from a 1/2 second to about 3 seconds. The last glitch was the 3 second one when I was about 50 feet high It was a total no power, no control, smooth decent to the lawn with a almost perfect landing with a little bounce. (kinda reminded me of the toy helis with a pull string!, lol) This is where the power and control came on again.

I said to myself , "Hell with this! 2.4 glitch crap! I stick with my JR 10x on 72".

The Ironic part:
So I picked up the Heli from the lawn and went to disconnect the battery.. and realized that I never connected the battery fully and the connector was arcing out!!!.
( I use the Blue plastic connectors on the ESC and battery).

This is where I concluded the Futaba 2.4 system kicks some serious ass over the Spekrum system. For the receiver to maintain its link during 10+, 20-50 amp arcing (intermittent connections) of the battery, and the Align ESC held up to this abuse is tottaly amazing.

Actually the only way to test, is to buy a Spektrum system, install it, and then go fly with the connector partially out. :)

what's the difference in flying.
can you abviously feel the the huge difference?

AFAIK, no difference in flying. Both systems work well. But Spektrum has a wider variety of Rxes and they are cheaper.
