Every now and then when I plug in a new battery pack, the rx light will blink. This tends to be on my 2nd or 3rd flight.
If I let it set for a minute or two and try again, usually I can get the solid light. I have the V1.6 firmware.
Probably a simply answer what this is but I can't find it!
thanks

Had the same thing happen to me this afternoon. I tried rebinding and that seemed to take care of the problem.

That is the low voltage indication. You could be bouncing the connection while connecting the pack.
If you remove one pack and stick another one on without turning the Tx off, the Rx will think it lost power.

It's not a matter of bouncing the connection, but it IS because the Tx was not turned off and back on again! See my response to another post a few moments ago regarding an AR6200 doing this same thing... http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?p=742953#post742953

Great!
That makes a lot of sense actually-
thanks for the responses!

Trust me, it CAN be from bouncing the connectors. It is ANYTHING that causes the Rx to detect a low voltage event. That can be bouncing the connector, changing packs without power cycling the Tx, an actual low voltage event.
Try it, you can make it happen at will. I now stick the Positve blade into the slot, then roll the connector together to prevent this.

Well I'm certainly not going to argue with you, but haven't been able to get the lights flashing just by connecting my Deans connectors, even when I did it rather sloppy on purpose to try it out. Since the Rx didn't have power long enough to lock on to the Tx, it never fully initialized, and therefore never flashed. I've tried it with my AR6100 and AR6200, and they both initialize just fine, even when intentionally jostling the connectors while hooking them up.
Just curious Pinecone, what specific Rx does this to you, and what firmware version does it have?

All my Rxes were upgraded to the lastest this past winter/spring.
And yes, I have managed to get the lights blinking on the FIRST pack.

Interesting! I never could do it. Oh well, that's one less thing for me to worry about, huh? ;)
