Hi to all,

Just bought my second RX AR6200, my first RX was a AR6100 V1.2 which I don't have any problem. Now having this second RX AR6200 I have a wierd experience with it. After successfully bind AR6200 with my TX and tried to fly my Heli when I powerup the RX it is Flashing continuesly and never become solid.... the wierd thing my controls are all working fine despite of this flashing problem but I did not try to fly my heli, i'm afraid that something will happens if i will try to . Im using a external UBEC and freshly charge Lipo. Does anyone knows the reason why?

tnx,

Nus

That is the low voltage indication. Many times it is due to "bouncing" the connection of the battery. The Rx sees power, then it loses power, so it tells you.

I wish Spektrum had put ina 1/2 second delay upon initial power up.

That is the low voltage indication. Many times it is due to "bouncing" the connection of the battery. The Rx sees power, then it loses power, so it tells you.<<snip>>That's what I thought too on my new AR6200, but that is not the case. What is happening is you must turn off the Tx and restart it every time you restart the Rx, otherwise the Rx sees the Tx is still on the original 2 channels and assumes there was a power outage (which technically there was because you unplugged the battery pack)!

I took my airplane and new radio back to the LHS where I bought it and complained about this problem, with the intention of buying one of the Spektrum capacitors to hopefully prevent the "bouncing" that Pinecone mentions, but then one of the part-timers showed me what was going on. Ever since then, as long as I remember to turn the Tx off and back on again when changing flight batteries, my AR6200 locks on solid every time, even if I don't succeed in getting the Deans connectors plugged on the first try (that bouncing connection Pinecone mentioned)!

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip.. i'll test it tonight

Yea, JR says if you wait for 15 seconds or so it wont do that but it doesn't matter, if you don't turn off the transmitter, the reciever will check the last two channels it used and if it locks on then it signals a low voltage reset, no matter how long you wait.

Yeah, maybe their 921 will quit flashing after 15 seconds (I haven't tried it on mine yet), but the Spektrum Rx's continue flashing until the Tx has been cycled off and back on.

It can be from any reason that the Rx sees a power loss. If on the first pack of the day, it is probably bouncing the contacts.

If it happens on the second or later, it can the Rx thinking it was a power loss when it was a pack change. And yes, you can stop it by power cycling the Tx in between packs.

BTW they work fine with the lights flashing. You only lose the ability to determine if there was an inflight low voltage event.
