Ok here goes!

tommorow morning is the first day im gonna try the heli without the training gears. Pretty nervous about it. Hope the heli comes back in 1 piece. Can do FFF on simulator fine, slow forward in real life decently. Even though sometimes things get rough and my circuits are pretty sloppy. Nose in good. Can land pretty ok. Even though I had a hard landing once by miscalculation last flight out, and the gears saved my butt. Gonna go practive some more landings on sim now.

Any suggestions before the big go? Thinking about just doing some hovering with the gears off and go home. lol Not sure if my stomach can handle FF tommorow also on the same day. Its probly a vague memory to alot of you guys but I was wondering how was you guys experices when taking off yourTraining gears?

Wish me luck.

I have a newbie test flight of myself on reflex xtr if anyone is interested: (My landings are not so nice right now, landing gears gonna break very soon I expect)

nguyen,

If you can fly real flight you will do fine. I understand being nervous since it's been only 2 months since I did the same thing your doing tomorrow.

Have fun.

thanks,

I been planning this day for awhile lol.
My crash kit just came in today from heliproz. So just in case i crash I wont feel to bad. If I can take it off and land it back down without breaking anything I will be one happy camper.

thanks

Just dont worry about it. It will probably fly better without the gear on anyway.

I would just do some hovering for the first flight or two without the training gear. When removing the training gear it might mess with you a little(it did me)seeing the heli with the training gear missing.Just take a couple hover flights to get yourself used to seeing the heli without the gear attached.

yes, it was wierd when I first took it off. I was like "wow, its so low to the ground now" when cranking it up. I was afraid of tail booms and stuff. Luckily I did fine, and the heli came back safe.

I never used training gear, I just took my chances.
Luckily I didn't crash until I was well into FF.
