I have broken in my OS91sz-h , ( the pumped one )

I had read various posts that recommend setting up the mid needle closed and just tuning the main from the fat side.

This is what I have done today .
I have got the top end set up , ( bit on the rich side ) at only about 3/4 turn out from closed.
This is with the mid needle closed.
Is this way too far in for the main??? It is still slightly rich at the top end!

I also want some advice;with the above settings, when I switch to normal from idle up1 (to land) the motor starts to over-rev with a lean sound! Is this a time to be opening the mid needle to tune out the lean area on half/ mid throttle??

Will opening up the mid needle now have any impact on my main needle, ( top end ) set-up/tune??

By the way I am running with muffler pressure.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

First loose your pressure line from the muffler. It just ruins your clunk line..it is the exaust that deteriates the clunk line. You dont need it. Get a check valve and put it on the inlet where you had your pressure line from the muffler attached. You need to take it off every time your refuel. Or put a T piece in below your check valve with a plug.
You have your high end needle still on the rich side. I'm just under half open with mine and still on the rich side. Check your glow plug to see if it is still good. remember it should look clean and not full of burned residue. Keep closing your high end till you get no more power or you see litle smoke, tune for best clime out at 10° pitch and listen to the sound. If you hear over speeding, increase the pitch.

Hope that helps
