Hey guys, I've searched the site but didn't find what I'm lookin for and the radio and heli instructions don't help.

Heli: Trex 450 SE V2
Radio: Futaba 7CHPS 2.4ghz
Gyro: Futaba GY401 + Futaba 9254
Other servos: Futaba S3107

Is there any thread that can take me step by step through the process (on a basic/beginner level)?

I need to know the basics like: what channel controls what. I plugged the servos into the reciever as the Trex manual suggested and the only servo that obeys like it should is the one that controls the tail rotor. I've put in some sim time and I like the setup where the left stick vertical controls throttle/collective, left stick horizontal controls tail rudder, right stick vertical controls pitch cyclic, right horizontal controls roll cyclic.

Any input is most appreciated.:)

Do you have your swash menu set to 120 Degree E-CCPM? That might be part of it but not sure.

Did you check these out (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=11373)? Scroll down to the CCPM vids.

Bill - I don't think I do. In my swash menu I can set ELE-N and AIL-N or INH. . .whatever that means. . .right now everything in those areas is set to 0% by default.

Forjer - I am checking those vids out now. . .

Ok. I just realized watching the video that my radio is the Futaba T7C, not the 7CHPS. On the video it shows the the Swash menu comes after TH-CUT. There is a blank space on the menu where swash should be. What now??

Menus may be different but it should be there...unless you're not in heli mode. The swash selection on my T7CAP is in the parameter menu.

Ya' definatilly need to be in Heli mode if your gonna find a swash menu:) I don't have a Futaba but you should be able to get a PDF file of the manual I would think. But the thing I'm confused about is even if not in Heli mode if the servos are plugged correctly they should move. Make sure the servos that aren't woking are plugged the same way as the one that is. Also plug the one working into the other channels and see if it works from the other channels. Just re-read your post...the other servos are working but not like you thought they would??

Read the above, it should answer your questions

Bill - yes they are working, just not like they should be. . .

David - I think I found part of the answer on p. 61. Thanks.

From the diagrams I think the Trex 450 is most consistent with the HR3 type, right?

Forjer - Also, when I switched the radio to HR3, now I have swash as an option on the menu!!!

Hey guys - I think I've got it, thanks to your help! The Finless Bob video pertaining to CCPR (part 1) was very helpful too. Thanks again to each of you - hopefully I'll be able to return the favor sometime as I learn more.
