Hope someone can help. After a crash and replacing blades, main shaft and some head parts my Belt-CP spins when throttled up. I have adjusted the tail rotor 10 times and nothing helps. When I throttle up,the tail spins to the left, if I try to correct it the tail spins in the other direction. I have a HH gyro and it seems to work, when powered up with rotors still and I move the tail the HH gyro moves the tail rotor in the other direction.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Is the gyro in rev.

how do you "power up" and still have the rotors still??
in any case, did you move the tail servo? perhaps you placed it on the wrong side of the boom which would make the HH gyro work backwards.
If its still on the correct side all that needs to be done is slide the servo up and down the boom until it holds solid. but sounds to me like you said you did that already so the only thing i can think of is that you installed the tail servo backwards or replaced it with a servo that works in the opposite direction of the standard esky servo.

What I mean was when I connect the battery (power up) the gyro is working. The tail servo is on the right side of the boom, I checked that. The problem that I'm having is that when I throttle up, the tail spins to the left and when I try to correct it the tail spins in the other direction, if I try to correct that, it will spin in the other direction. The tail servo is working in both directions. There is a chance that when I repaired the heli after the crash that I might have not put the servo that was on the boom back on the boom but I thought all the servo's were the same, is that true?
Thanks again.

yes they are the same, but they need to be in the correct spot in the rx. Is it possible that you plugged in the servos incorrectly. The tail servo should be in slot 4 on the stock rx.

Hi, checked that and it is in #4. The thing that is strange is that I can not hold the tail still no matter what I do. Any imput either way causes the tail to spin out of control.
Question, I have the original gyro that came with the heli, if I put that back on and it still does the same thing would that tell me that there is nothing wrong with my HH gyro?
Thanks

Did you replace your tail blades? Are they turning in the right direction?

Tail blades have small ding in one of them but not that bad. Yes spinning in right direction. did have the belt flipped at first but corrected that.
Thanks

Does anyone think that if my tail rotor shaft is slightly bend that it could cause the spinning problem?
Thanks

I'm having the same problem with my HH gyro no matter where I put the servo on the boom it'll spin wildly but when I put the stock gyro back on I had no problems. I'm wondering if these gyros need the gain adjusted cause I did find a point(for the servo) where throttle up spins left reduce throttle and spins right with no stick inputs except throttle up/down. My gain is about at 90% thinkin' I need to try and turn it down some . But remember only small turns are required like 1/2 mm per time. Not sure but I don't think you need to re-initalize the gyro for each adjustment.

Sounds like both of your gyros are in reverse.
What kind of gyros are they?
If they have a switch reverse it.
If they are esky hh gyros how are they mounted.
They should be mounted this way up

Hey Steve,
look at my thread titled E Sky EK2-0407A HH gyro mounting (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=80749) and watch the video in the post by Real Sparky I'm sure this is our problem with the spinning! My gyro was upside-down.

I replaced the tail servo and all is well. The old one looked like it was working but I guess it was not. Thanks for the help.
