I am not sure how many of you have seen this info, but JR has a 6 channel spread spectrum system that is going to be available the end of November. The first system is designated a park flyer system..... For a price of 199.99 you get the radio, 6 gram receiver, and 4 s75 servos.....

Hey Charles, I saw info on that somewhere.... this will be a great thing for the park flying community. I think it's using 2.4ghz??? Something like that???

Sorry I missed IRCHA SE, look forward to seeing you at the next get-together. How are the dogs?

Just because Horizon is selling the radio does mean that JR is the manufactuer. I would think that Spektrum is having the radio produced somewhere in Asia. Horizon bought the rights to the SS technology from Paul Beard last year. It may be OK for a Park flier that stays flying close to the pilot. Not sure I would want to put it in an aircraft that is flying couple hundred yards out. This is great technology, but it is still in its beginning stage for RC aircraft use.

Agreed David,

Neat technology...... but

I wouldn't put a heli on this !!!

Hope you and yours are doing well.

I see this is an older thread but I can give some input. I am using one of these on my T-Rex.
From my range check I can barely see the heli and signal is fine but I have no need for long ranges at this point
The Spectrum radios are made by JR I think you will find the transmitter case matches an older JR case (as with the DX3). I do not suggest using the included servos on a CCPM setup though... they will not hold up, found out the hard way. I still do run one on the tail.

Only a 3 point pitch curve for helis

Not really a high end radio but I think it is great for what it was released for - park flyers

I have really enjoyed my 2.4ghz radio (Nomadio) I use on my rc truck. no more checking for freqs just turn on and go. No one can show up turn on their radio and cause a crash. My truck does 60+ mph and spends just as much time in the air as on the ground and I have not had a single problem in the time I have used it.
